Welcome to the Alps Epic!

The Alps Epic is an iconic mountain bike stage race inspired by the Trans Alps, Cape Epic and even the Tour de France! It includes 8 unique and diverse racing stages over 5 days. Held annually in the NSW Snowy Mountains, the event “tours” the region stopping at a new town each night. Dates for 2009 are 15-19 March.

Stages are announced approximately 6 months before the event and generally include a mix of "cross country" stages, "endurance" stages and "special" stages. The best single track, trails and scenery have been found to give riders a truely awesome experience.

Open to local and international individuals and teams it is the perfect way to see the Australian high country in summer. Elite or recreational riders of are catered for in the diverse stages. Bring friends or family as a support crew or register for the supported option provided by the organisers.
